The NPA Certification Program was designed by a team of nonprofit professionals who have been working in the field and understand the critical role that administrative support plays in a nonprofit’s ability to focus on realizing its mission and enacting strategic goals and tactics. In completing the rigorous education and development program, these NPAs have the skill set, resources, and experience to help organization leaders maximize their time and impact.

The Certification Program includes:

  • Material overview/review (basic responsibilities of nonprofit boards, key components of managing a nonprofit organization)

  • Assessment testing

  • NPA Toolkit review (nonprofit board and meeting management materials and templates, nonprofit fundraising and finance tutorial, nonprofit constituent database)

  • Shadowing current NPA mentor (10 hours)

  • NPA mentor supervised client interactions (1 month)

  • Formal evaluation
