Development Officer

Contractor Position

A growing nonprofit consulting firm seeks a high-energy, experienced individual to join a seasoned team of professionals supporting nonprofit organizations nationally. Ideal candidates will be innovative self-starters and independent remote workers with a strong and varied background in nonprofit management.

Candidates will have experience in general nonprofit management, leadership, and comprehensive development programs, including stewardship and data management. A professional looking to grow with the client/company will be the best fit.

Responsibilities will include managing a comprehensive fundraising program, coordinating the activities of the volunteer committees, further developing a strong corporate giving program, expanding the endowment program, and creating a long-term fundraising strategy.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, public relations, or related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

• 7-10 years of increasing responsibility in the nonprofit sector.

• Demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising. 

• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in diverse settings.

• Positive and collaborative attitude when managing groups and overseeing initiatives.

• Experience managing and tracking donor contributions and organizing gathered data.

• Experience measuring and evaluating data and outcomes.
